Theatre Orientation: Mandatory

Sunday, Dec. 7, from 9am to 10 am at the Academy of Music. This is required for all cast members and at least one parent or guardian . The orientation is designed to provide parents and cast members with information about safety and what to expect when in the theatre. Failure to attend the orientation may result in dismissal from the cast.

Theatre Rehearsal: Academy of Music

All rehearsals are required. All cast members use “stage door” (South Street entrance). Dancers under the age of 14 will only be allowed to leave the theatre when signed out by a parent or guardian, and IDs will be checked to ensure dancers’ safety. Rehearsals prepare your children for their performance in The Nutcracker. Attendance at all rehearsals is required. Missed rehearsals compromise not only the individual’s safety and ability to learn, but also the group performance. If you have an emergency and need to miss rehearsal you MUST notify an artistic director prior to rehearsal

No one will be allowed to leave the theatre wearing stage make-up.

Dancers should bring their makeup in a ziplock bag labeled with their name. When they are called for makeup, they will bring their bag and hand it to the makeup person.

Dancers must also provide their own hairbrushes, hair supplies, face wipes, and make-up removers.

Dancers should wear button down shirts (no pullovers or turtlenecks!).

No one will be allowed to leave the theatre wearing stage make-up.
