This time\, he does. \nWidely considered to be Mozart’s greatest opera\, the Marriage of Figaro is famous for its depiction of an aristocrat outmaneuvered and thwarted by his underlings. The play by Beaumarchais on which the opera was based has occasionally been banned by the powerful. Come find out why.

DESCRIPTION:In our spring 2018 ballet\, we bring to stage Pioneer Valley Ballet’s popular production of “The Little Mermaid.” This full length ballet showcases trained dancers from PVB as well as professional guest artists from around the region. \nSet to Camille Saint Saens’ musical score\, don’t miss this extravagant production based on the fairy tale by the Danish poet and author Hans Christian Andersen about a young mermaid willing to give up her life in the sea and her identity as a mermaid to gain a human soul and the love of a human prince.
