The Nutcracker

Calling all imaginative kids! We have roles available for ages 4-11 in our 47th annual production of The Nutcracker at the Academy of Music! Casting will take place on Friday, September 11th at the PVB studios in Easthampton, MA:

Friday, September 11th:

• Age 4-5: Not required to attend
• Age 6-7: 4:30pm – 5:15pm
• Age 8-9: 5:30pm – 6:15pm
• Age 10-11: 6:30pm – 7:15pm

During their casting time, your child will be taught a few simple dance steps to perform with their group and be measured for a costume. Everyone who completes the registration process and attends Casting Day will be assigned a role! Note that 4-5 year olds are NOT required to attend Casting Day but must finalize their registration at the first studio rehearsal. You will be notified of their role via email.

On Casting Day you will need to complete the registration process and pay the one-time performance fee & $15 registration fee. The performance fee ranges from $160-$185 for 6-11 year olds and covers all rehearsals, theater time, costume rentals, makeup kits, and hair kits. Performance fees for 4-5 year olds range from $80-$110.

Roles may include reindeer, party children, gingerbread, candy canes, polichinelles, angels, or other roles at the discretion of the artistic directors.
